Update 1. 10 weeks to go.
A new website and a new trip, news about our preparations and our first fund raising event.

Update 2. Just one more sleep.
Working our way towards our leaving date, putting in a few hours of training for the marathon in Egypt. Learning about the floods in Pakistan and how Merlin are making a difference.
Update 3. Champagne on a beer budget.
Leaving home we headed as 4 towards France stopping off in the champagne region.
Update 4. High prices & high passes.
Heading into our second country we hit the Alps climbing over 2000m+ passes and bumping into the Milka cow.
Update 5. Drizzle in the Balkans
Hitting eastern Europe we were hit with bad weather, some interesting roads and a trip to Sarajevo.
Update 6. Incoming flight to Istanbul
Our last leg in Europe through Bulgaria and we arrive in Istanbul to meet our friend Russ of the plane and head to watch Galatasary.
Update 7. Turkish delight bound for Beirut.
Leaving Istanbul with our new companion Russ, we hit the massive windy country that is Turkey. Unknown towns lead to Cappidocia as we head through the mountains to Syria
Update 8. Snow in Syria and Generous Jordanians.
Making our way back into Syria to Damascus we run into a blizzard before celebrating Christmas in the ancient capital. Continueing on way float in the dead sea and arrive in Egypt.
Update 9. Egyptian Marathon to Oman.
Arriving in Cairo after a stint around the Sinai we finished up our training and headed down to Luxor to meet our family’s before running 42km in the Egyption marathon. Revolutions sparked as we headed to calmer waters in Oman.
Update 10. Dubai to Tehran.
Leaving Oman we headed back to Dubai to pick up our Iranian visas, said goodbye to some friends and got on the boat to Band-e-abbas. Our Iranian experience ranged from majestic mosques, high mountains and house partys.
Update 11. Up the Caspian to Kazakhstan.
After 10 wonderful days in Tehran we finally leave Iran and head upto Azerbaijan and across the Caspian sea to empty, silent nights in Kazakhstan.
Update 12. One too many hills to Dushanbe.
Meeting Joe in Almaty we head into Kyrgyzstan, bump into some trouble at the border and then watch the champions league final before heading over five, 3000m climbs on the way to Dushanbe.
Update 13. In search of food on the Pamir highway.
Our toughest part of the journey – high altitude cycling, bad food and our stove breaks, but some of the best scenery yet.
Update 14. Down the Karakorum highway in Pakistan.
Finally we hit the sub-continent after almost one year, but its not the welcome we had in mind as kids throw rocks at us, we hitch to the capital and then spin out in Lahore to the Sufi drummers.
